Good Citizenship by PACE Partners

For the 7th year in a row, PACE partner KiDDS Dental held the Great Candy Buy Back. Trick-or-treaters “sold” their candy, which will now be sent to troops serving overseas. KiDDS Dental recommended children enjoy a little of their loot, save a few pieces for the next few days, then donate the excess for cash – $1 per pound! Dr. Jared Evans reports that military members often use the candy to help connect with children in the areas in which they are serving, helping make the region a little less hostile. “In an indirect way, we are promoting goodwill abroad.” What a great way to promote international citizenship!

The 7th annual Great Candy Buy Back was on Monday, November 3 at KiDDS Dental, 1327 N. Stanford Lane, Suite B in Liberty Lake. Children selling candy will also had the opportunity to make cards for the troops, which will be included with the shipment.
