  • Pasadena Park Elementary in the West Valley School District started their PACE World Character Day with an assembly to share the philosophy of World Character Day and “Bring Character to Light”. The entire school watched the PACE Character Day video as an overview of the program. Once back in their classrooms the students had an opportunity to listen to stories about character read to them by employees of the Spokane County Library District. SCLD partnered with the school for the special character day event.
  • PACE partner Spokane Valley Fire Department celebrated World Character Day with Broadway Elementary. The school kicked off the day with an assembly featuring Fire Chief Collins talking about the importance of character. The students then learned about random acts of kindness. Following the assembly, fire department personnel visited 17 classrooms and read books about character to students. Spokane Valley Ladder 10 also visited students during lunch recess – the crew talked about the importance of character for firefighters and handed out special “Character Matters” bracelets to students.
  • Pioneer School in the Spokane Valley partnered with BECU employees for Character Day. They read stories and played games which focused on the 12 PACE Character Strengths.
