Thank you to all our partners, community members and schools that participated in World Character Day 2018.
Throughout the community, schools and PACE Partners demonstrated their commitment to Shine On! for good character on September 26 – World Character Day. A few highlights are noted below. Be sure to check out our Facebook page to see more – don’t forget to “like” us!
CVELC Character Parade
- Everyone loves a parade! We especially love them when it is a Character Parade…Thanks Central Valley Early Learning Center! What a fun idea. (Be sure to see additional photos here.)
- Central Valley High School challenged students to say hello to ten new people. “to help make our school a better place and to build character.”
- At University High School all students were encouraged to participate in WCD Lib Dub: “World Character Day is a time to come together as a community to make this the best place we possibly can. Our goal is to promote inclusion (EVERYONE has a chance to participate), celebrate differences (it’s great to see all of the different things our students are a part of), and build a community of trust and support where all students feel like UHigh is the place they want to be.” Check out the results here.
- West Valley School District reported: “Students in West Valley at Pasadena Park Elementary are creating a character chain for PACE World Character Day. Each student wrote down what good character means to them and those comments will be connected in a long continuous chain that will be hung throughout the school.”
